Watchdog Relocation 01/02/2009
ENTRUST is moving from Sale in Cheshire to a new home in Holly Walk and intends to boost its team of 25 staff with new recruits.
The company regulates the Landfill Communities Fund on behalf of HM Revenue and Customs and has relocated with help from commercial property specialists Wareing and Company.
Christopher Welford, chief executive of ENTRUST, said: “Having carried out a review of our business needs and following a long search across the UK, our board decided that Leamington Spa provided the best location to serve the long term needs of our shareholders.
“As with any company, relocation involves a considerable amount of organisational change and Wareing and Company has been helpful in supporting our move.”
The period building in Holly Walk gives the company over 4,500 sq ft of office space over two floors and has been taken on by ENTRUST on a five-year lease.
Bill Wareing, director at Wareing and Company, said: “We are delighted to have assisted ENTRUST with this move and are encouraged by the news that the move will enable the company to create several more jobs in the town.
“The decision by ENTRUST to relocate to Leamington from Cheshire underlines the growing attraction of the town as a base for business and we are certain it will prove to be a sound decision.”
ENTRUST monitors the money contributed by landfill operators through the Landfill Communities Fund and regulates the community and environmental projects the money is used for.09
